Day 1

Day 1

September 8

We began the ride today under a cloudy fog coming off the Puget Sound.  Working our way through town along Lake Washington and headed south to Renton then on to Enumclaw, Washington for lunch.  By the time we left Enumclaw the skies were clear and the afternoon was cool and clear.  After lunch we headed out of town on highway 410 toward Mt. Rainier.  Our evening stop was at Silver Springs Campground along the Green River where we enjoyed watching the salmon spawning.  It was a beautiful day.

“I will exalt you, my God the King;
 I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of
praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation will commend your works
to another;
they will tell of your mighty acts.
They will speak of the glorious splendor of
your majesty,
and I will speak of the glorious splendor of
your majesty,
and I will meditate on your wonderful
works.
They will celebrate your abundant
goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness.”

Psalms 145: 1-7
